i get greasy skin, but i find my face too dry after i've washed it for foundation/concealer to go on smoothly without moisturiser in the mornings. of course this makes my skin look even more greasy eventually.

i've tried OC8 oil control moisturiser but i find it gives it an intial overly-"matte" look and makeup doesnt spread so well. also tried lancome pure focus moisturising lotion but didnt like it and it didnt work well as a base. grrr hate my skin. can anyone recommend something?

Dr. Feelgood by Benefit - £22

It's a mattifying balm which doesn't make the skin look unnatural, whether worn with or without make up on top...

Try the Body Shop seaweed daily shine moisture control cream- i use this and its good. Also try the Simple oil control one, and one by clean and clear but cant remember the name! You dont need to spend a lot of money to get good results

i've been using this neutrogena cream for a couple of weeks now http://boots.com/shop/product_detail...ductid=1052945

and it's really been amazing. even using mattifying moisturisers my skin still gets oily after about 3/4 hours, but for some reason when i use this my skin doesn't get oily all day. it's not even meant for oily skin but it's so moisturising that my skin doesn't need to produce oil, if that makes any sense? and a little bit goes a long way. i haven't worn make up over it yet but i'm sure it would go on fine. i couldn't recommend this stuff enough! i've tried OC8 too but i found it too spongy. this one is really smooth. oh, and it has added SPF!

yeah OC8 is nasty, when you put make up onto it sucks it all up, altho it does do they trick and you dont get shiny

I love Biore Pore Perfect shine control moisturiser. I've got two sample tubes now from different magazines and i love it! It takes all the excess oil and shine off your skin but is also a really good base for make up, great for nights out. Not sure how much it costs as i've just used those samples but i don't think Biore products are expensive.

I find using clinque pore minimiser instant perfector really good as a base after moisturiser. It mattifies and smoothes any open pores, but foundation still goes on really smoothly. Ifyou still get a bit of shine, use a bit of powder or mattifying sheets Clinique do them, which are a bit better because powder can go a bit cakey.

I use that and it's really good. Its about 4.99 i think, for 50ml...a bit more expensive than some moisturisers but definitely worth it! It absorbs really well. I don't wear foundation but I'm sure it'd be fine with it.
