I have been claiming student finance since 2010 for my BA degree. This year, upon completing my degree I applied to study a PGCE/ITT course to start in September 2013.
I submitted the application for student finance (2013/2014) a while ago but have still heard nothing back. I was requested to submit my birth certificate again as proof of identity (which I have sent in) and my mum was requested to provide financial evidence to support my application. My mum is a student herself and her application has been sorted so that she will be assessed based on household income, in previous years our accounts have been linked so that my application is automatically assessed with hers.
On my application it says I do not need to submit any other evidence - it has been saying this for ages yet I have not received anything (notice of entitlement etc) from yourselves. I haven't even had my birth certificate returned to me yet...
Is there any way to check what is happening with my application? I have yet to receive a declaration form, which I know I will need to sign before any sort of payments will be released to me. My course starts on the 9th September and I will need money to pay rent & travel expenses to university/placements & I am starting to worry that it won't be sorted by then.
