Economic at queens?
Anyone know how's it like?
i'm not a local student and i dont have much ideas about the QUB..have to choose between QUB and Aberdeen.

Economics is supposed to be one of the strongest subjects at Queen's. They have a great teaching staff and my friends would advise you strongly to go for it. Student accom is very good, if a little expensive, and you'll have a great three years.

QUB is a good place to come if you're willing to just put your head down and slog through for 3 years, it can be quite an anti-social university which seems to be a uniquely queens problem and the night life isn't great in Belfast, well it's ok it's just there is very little variation on the theme.
But Queens is academically a good university and economics and accountancy are some of it's strongest subjects, just expect to spend 3 years almost totally in the dark about whats going on in the university, for example I'm waiting for my degree results and no-one seems to know anything about when to expect them or how I go about applying for graduations, which is kinda a big thing.
Having said that queens is a good university and belfast is a city on the up so....
