Want to know what it is like to study at UCA as a student? Reply to this, I'd be happy to share my experience over the past 3 years at UCA with you

How is it like doing a degree in fashion? Do you also do an industrial placement as well? Also, have you done the foundation course too? Sorry for all the questions

Fashion is a really exciting course but does involve alot of hard work. Yes I did a foundation before going into fashion and it really helped.

Im now in my 3rd year on the BA (Hons) Fashion at UCA Epsom. During my second year, we had an Industry project which involved designing for Red or Dead and we also did an internship at the end of the 2nd year

Hey, I have a bunch of questions that I'd love for you to answer!

*What is Epsom like? Is it safe? Boring, fun, noisy, calm? What's it like living there?
*How stressed is independent study at UCA? My skills aren't that amazing so I'm going to need a lot of guidance to get to where I want to be. What are the teaching methods available? How are the lecturers and tutors?
*How are the facilities? What's the campus like?
*Are the students and staff at the university friendly? I talked to two of the representatives and they were really nice; I'm hoping there's more of that
    *Are there many international students?

    Thanks for the help!

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. But yeah Epsom is a pretty small town and very calm. Many students live in Epsom and go out in London or Kingston which aren't far. Other students live in London and commute to uni!

Independent study is great actually. It helps you develop your own skills, styles, etc. as an individual with guidance from your tutors. You can always also book one to one tutorials with study advisors to get more help with project briefs and essays.

The campus is not huge and we've got many facilities such as photography studios, digital and screen printing, laser cutting. These are some of the shared facilities between all courses and then you'd get course specific facilities such as industrial sewing machines if you're doing fashion.

Lecturers and tutors are really nice and friendly just like most of the students. Im an international student and officer at the students union myself. There are a few overseas students but its mostly home and EU students

    Hope this helps and feel
