I've had about six. I went to bed at 2. But woke up at 5.30 and then 7.24...I think because of the heat and I was only lay on the bed with no duvet.

Reply 4

i had about 5,which was actually quite nice in comparison how long i usually sleep.i think 7 hours is alright but that depends on your lifestyle i guess.

Napoleon slept for 4 hours a day, and look at what he achieved. The basic rule of thumb is: (the more sleep you have the less stuff you can do)/(Level of tiredness)
Hope that little formula helps you decide your optimum sleep allowance.

8 hours is fine, but the specialists are reckoning that any more than 7 makes you die earlier! Don't ask me, just what I read! On average though, 6-8 hours per night (depending on how active your day has been) is adequate.

Wow!! I LOVE my sleep!! Depends what time I have to be up and stuff, but I usually get about 8 - 9 hours, sometimes more!! Cos I'm on study leave at the mo, Ive been going to bed around 11pm ish, and waking up about 9.30!! Although it's not normally this much, I do usually get at least 8 hours. I thought this was good?! Lol.

'Hours'? How very presumptuous of you.

Reply 11

Just woke up after 4.5 hours and feel rubbish!!!

Maggie Thatcher (ewwww) used to get 2 sets of 2 hours sleep a day and that was it for 15 years - nutter!

Reply 12

I can get by on 5-6 a night. Had just under 5 last night.

Reply 13

Isn't 8 the recommended....

I either get too much sleep or too little! Never the recommended.

Reply 14

Yeh i usually have 7-8 but can easily go on 5-6

Reply 15

Varies widely.

If I have to get up: 3-8
Else: 7-13

Reply 16

I manage about 10 hours in holidays.. 8-9 hours ish in termtime.

Reply 17

And to answer the original question:

I think 6-10 is reaonable

Reply 18

I sleep in 4 hour stints (this is the ideal) Or multiples of four. I can function better on 4 hours than on 6. Odd I know!!

Reply 19

I get anywhere from 6 to 9 hours sleep. I have the week off, so at the mo it's more like 9, but when I go back to college next week it'll slip back down again.
