Results day being tomorrow I have been paranoid about applying for uni next year, I am very interested in Chemical Engineering at Aston university, where the typical offer is BBB where Maths is preferred but not essential. After taking the exams I fairly confident that I got at least B's in Chemistry and Physics, however in maths C1 and C2 went well but I TANKED M1 so bad i think i may have gotten a D, I'm sure if when i retake M1 next year i will do better but will applying to any decent uni's be much harder now because of how bad i did it that exam?

I'd say it's definitely worth a try, worst comes to worse it's only one space out of five?
My course was supposed to be AAB and I applied with AS levels that were ABC but made it clear I was resitting the C and intended to get an A. I got offered ABB, so you never know they might lower it

Not necessarily. As long as your predicted grades are shown to meet the BBB requirement for Aston University, then they should consider your application. Just make sure your predicted grades meet their entry requirements and that you have a strong personal statement, reference etc. Your final A-level results are most important, not your AS results - though AS results do act as a strong indicator of your abilities to achieve the required grades and do influence their decisions to make an offer.
