Yesterday when I told my Dad and my Brother that I wanted to take A Level French and German they were fine about it. It seemed like they were happy with my choice.
But then this evening, my brother started saying things, as if to put me off studying A Level French and German. My dad had also said that there is no point him saying his views as I am a person that will still do what I want to do.

So both of them are totally against me doing A Level French and German.
Should I still go ahead with these two options and hopefully prove to them that it was the right option for me? I mean it is my life. I know I haven't studied both of these subjects at GCSE so it will be hard work. I am prepared to spend a lot of time studying and can learn languages quickly. For the past year I have been teaching myself German and before that I was studying French at school for 6 years (not at GCSE level though).

I really don't know what to do. Please help.

    many thanks in advance.
