    100ul of bacteria culture used (dilution 1:10^4) , it is pipetted onto a haemocytometer and magnified at x10 magnification .x amount of cells was found in 4 squares (each square 0.1mm^3) . how many bacteria cells per cm^3 or ml are there in the original culture?

    I'm not sure if I'm right but what I've done was
    x in 0.4mm^3
    x/4 in 0.1mm^3
    10x/4 in 1mm^3 ie 2.5x in 1mm^3
    1000mm^3 in 1cm^3 so 2.5*10^3 x in 1cm^3
    dilution is at 1:10^4 so (2.5*10^3 ) * 10^ 4
    so 2.5*10^7x in 1cm^3 ?

    I was wondering what answers have you gotten for this question ,I wanted to make sure I was right before my exam next week.
