    How to draw a graph of f(x)= 4/(x + 1)

    Start with the graph f(x) = 1/x
    Then f(x+1) which shifts the graph one unit to the left
    Then 4f(x+1) which stretches it vertically by a scale factor of 4...

    Or you could plot the graph using x values
