So, I went in to school to receive my results today, and unfortunately I missed out on my Firm choice's offer. But I checked UCAS, and It says that I have been firmly accepted at my Firm choice. I know that it can happen from time to time, but I'm worried about it being a mistake, or the Uni withdrawing their offer. What worries me the most is that the letter of acceptance is dated for the 11th of August, which was well before Results day, do Universities receive the results in advance?. Can anybody shine some light on what's going on, and if I should be worried or not?

You're in. Your firm may accept you with a missed offer.

Your uni has had ample time to consider your results and they've decided to admit you

    Congratulations!

You really shouldn't be worried. Sometimes universities still accept you when you miss your offer and if UCAS says you've been firmly accepted, then you're in! Congratulations!

If you've been changed to unconditional firm then despite missing your offer the university has still decided to accept you, congratulations

Yes universities get your results several days in advance. They've had plenty of time to consider whether to accept you or not. It's not unusual for people to get in despite meeting their offers. Congratulations on getting in
