# Clarification on UCAS Points? Watch

1. I am going into my final year at college this time around and the course I am wanting to take at university requires 340 UCAS points. Now from what I understand that's AAB. So is that exactly what I need to get on the course? The reason I ask is I have other things to make up UCAS points such as an AS I dropped. So these would reduce the number of UCAS points required I think? This is where I get confused! So assuming I am correct does that mean I would not need AAB from my A-Levels?

For example the AS I have dropped I got a grade C in so that's 40 UCAS. So then I would have to get 300 UCAS. Does that mean that I would only need BBB from my A-Level results?

I am really confused, my friend tells me it differs from university to university so I have provided the link to the course in question -

Hope you guys can help!

340 at A-level (not AS) so yeah you need AAB or equivalent (A*BB - A*A*D I think) in your A-levels.
3. I'm not really knowledgeable about this but, I believe you require 340 UCAS points from 3 subjects. Maybe someone else can clarify.
4. It doesn't mention AS levels, but that doesn't mean they won't be counted. I would email the admissions and ask for clarification (although I would wait until after all the clearing madness has died down).
