    Hi Mohaimen,

140/140 is incredible! With grades like that, I'm sure your school are going to be impressed. In order to be predicted an A* though, you'll need to make sure that they've got no doubts whatsoever about your ability. I suggest that you try to get a photocopy of your marked Unit 1 script back. Go through it (with a teacher if you can) and show them that you understand your mistakes and know how you will do better when you resit unit 1 next summer.

Remember, you'll need to get 90% in all your A2 units to actually get the A* so make sure you don't put so much effort into unit 1 that your A2 grades suffer!

Good luck, and congratulations on your already excellent grades.

    Thank you
My biology teacher said that around 88 and above would be what they are looking at for an a* prediction, with 1 extra ums i would have 88 but I dont want to pay 50 pounds for a remark. Should i just go with biology, my teacher is very confident in me.( i dont get to speak to her for another 3 weeks)

    Hi Mohaimen,

It really depends a lot on your teacher. Given how well you did in your other units, it seems to me that it is unlikely that your school would quibble about 1 UMS. Don't worry about the remark - but it is worth considering retaking the exam to ensure you get the A*. Your school are likely to be happy to support you here: the thing to focus on is getting the grade, rather than getting the prediction! Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you need any clarification!
