I got my AS levels and they're fairly okay, I got ABCC (Fine Art, Geography, Maths and Physics) I narrowly missed an A in geography and a B in maths, I've tried to be realistic in the unis I've been looking at. I want to go to Swansea uni that has entry requirements of BBB, from my AS grades

    1. what do you think the highest grades I could get at A level?
    2. which uni entry requirements I could possibly apply to/ look at
    3. I'm keeping maths and physics as that is a must for entry requirements but I'm not sure whether to drop geography or art? My teachers think I could realistically get an A* in art and my teachers think I could get an A in geography. I love both of the subjects but would geography be better for civil engineering?

    PS
im thinking of retaking 3 of the exams one from each of the subjects excluding art

I'm sure my physics teacher hates me! Before I did my as exams he wrote on my report, the grade I was currently working at was a U!?! I worked really hard and I don't think he will predict me a good grade

    1. Depends on how far off grade boundaries you were and what you retake, but generally you should be looking at sustaining AS performance through A2's.
    2. Well, since you've said you narrowly missed AABC, AAB should be the maximum expectation - anything better is excellent, but sustaining that would be what you'd expect - so anything above that probably isn't worth it.
    3. Civil Engineering? Geography has more overlap than fine art, so geography would be better to keep.

I calculated the geography raw mark, missed out by 3 marks thanks for the advice, it's been the most helpful so far! yeah I thought geography would be more relevant thanks!

Definitely close enough to AAB for that to be a realistic target then :yep:
    You're welcome.
