I haven't met the grades for my conditional offer (bcc/bbb) but I haven't received had any decision back on my UCAS. It might be because I am expecting GCSE results in the near future as part of my conditions.

What should I do, assume the worst and start to decline student loans accommodation etc. Or wait it out and hope i get accepted with lower boundaries?

If your offer includes a GCSE grade, it won't update until you have that result (and btw it's up to you to send the result to the university yourself - they don't get it automatically.) In your position I think you should call them and ask what their current thinking is.

Hi mate maybe contacting the uni will help but whatever you do dont just give up on uni, im a student rep at Glyndwr Uni and we alone have lots of foundation courses (with top up's) kickstart year options and we also take each application on its own merit so even if your a bit short there is something any uni out there can do. What courses did you want to do?

If part of your offer includes GCSE grades, you won't get any confirmation until next Thursday when those results are released. How much have you missed your offer by? It might be worth speaking to your uni - they may be honest with you about your chances and give you the option to be released into Clearing if they definitely won't be considering you any further based on your A level grades. There will still be some Clearing places available by the end of next week, but it may be worth considering whether you could take a gap year to reapply to unis next cycle that will definitely consider your A level grades.

Keep trying bud, just a note my sister did marine biology at bangor and she loved it. I also hear on the grape vine that they are quite bendy on what they will accept so if thats the course for and you dont get in at your first choice maybe that might be worth a look. Although i must add i have not been to bangor myself so as for the town and the facilities i couldnt honestly say, im at Glyndwr (wrexham) and can vouch for that but pretty sure the animal and plant biology courses they offer are not really relevant to you. anyway keep trying your original choice just remember there is always an option.
