So I got my results today for AS and I got ABBB for Biology, Chemistry, Maths and History respectively. I'm absolutely gutted with my results. I was hoping to do Natural Sciences/Biochemistry at Cambridge, however with these results this probably isn't achievable.

I was wondering if anyone knows Cambridge's opinion on resits and on resitting the whole year, therefore spending 3 years in sixth form. I feel I have massively underachieved.

I am really desperate to try and improve my grades now! Which is really frustrating as I know any retakes I do do won't be until next year - along with the rest of my exams! (hence why I'm questioning weather to resit the whole year).

    Thanks yo anyone who replies,

You should probably post your question in the Cambridge forum as there are people there who know a lot about Cambridge admissions.

If it's any reassurance, I went to a conference recently where an Oxford admissions tutor said that the most important thing is that grades show improvement over time rather than are consistently excellent. Perhaps Cambridge is similar.

    Good luck
