Hi, I'm Portuguese and I have to choose between UCL and Durham today and I really need some help. I applied to the Arts and Sciences course at UCL and the combined honours course at Durham and now I have to choose. Because the courses are so alike , I just would like to know which one is better in terms of empregability? and how are the universities in terms of social life?

I've moved this to the clearing, applications and UCAS forum where you're better placed to get the answers you're looking for. A Clearing and Applications Advisor will be along shortly.

Do you want to live in a small town or the capital city? London is very expensive. Durham is small but is very close to Newcastle, where a lot of students go for the night life. The reputation of the universities is pretty comparable. You won't suffer by going to either.

I didn't like the feel of UCL when I visited it so would go for Durham if I had the choice. London is great though and if you'd prefer a large city kind of vibe then UCL is probably your best bet. I'm sure both have a great student life/plenty to do etc both being large uni's so just go for the one you like the look of more! I'm sure you won't regret it either way. Good luck
