one of my exams, I got a grade C. I overall I did get an A but I was hoping for an A* as I got As in the other exams.

A lot of people in my class also got bad grades, most got Es, Cs were the highest.

    Should I get a remark?

    It is a mid C

Does anything depend on it? If not, it's up to you. Remember remarks can go up AND down. By the end of freshers' week, you'll not even remember what you got.

Firstly, if you suspect there was a general batch of unfair marking then you should consult your school and see if they're going to take any action. I know the people in my year who did history, the school put in to get all their papers remarked and some of them went up by loads. So talk to your school first.
If they don't think there's a trend and they're not going to do anything... well, if it's mid C you have to also consider the possibility that your mark could go down as well as up.
Are these your AS or A2? If a university place is riding on it then perhaps get a priority remark. If not, I think you should get the transcript first and go from there.

If there's an unusual pattern to results, your school may request a batch of resits for the class to see what happened - you could ask them if they intend to do this. If you don't have a university place resting on this, it may be worth just letting it rest. An A overall is still very good and unlikely to have any impact on you in the future.

May I ask which exam and board it is with? I and a few others in the same position and don;t know what to do. We do feel cheated out of our A* which we worked extremely hard for. Help

Its for business studies, and looking at twitter it seems that many teachers were surprised as the low grades student revived? So there is a trend
