I applied for MEng civil engineering at Queen's Belfast which was AAB but I got declined as I only got BBC. I'm into an insurance choice at Ulster but can I still apply for BEng civil engineering at Queens even though the grades needed is BBB

Well firstly, no you can't apply for a course if you don't have the grades they are asking for. Secondly, the only way you can apply for another option is if you get your Insurance choice to release you so that you go into Clearing on Track.
But you must definitely not do this unless you find a course available in Clearing that you have the grades for and DEFINITELY prefer to your insurance choice. You must also get verbal confirmation from that new University that they are happy to give you the Clearing course. At that point you go back to your Insurance and ask them to release you.

You could ask QUB if they'd consider you for Civil Eng - sometimes they're more lenient with grades in Clearing. You'd need to get Ulster to release you into Clearing before you can get a Clearing offer though.

Since Queens was your firm you could ring them up and ask them to consider a course change

I will be honest - if they wanted you they could have made a changed course offer rather than rejecting you

There is civil engineering BEng on clearing for QUB, would it be worthwhile trying to get into that?
