You might as well stay in school and look to finish your A Levels.

Over the rest of this summer and for the early part of yr 13, think long and hard about what you want to do. What kind of job you would like and most importantly what you enjoy. If that is studying, then really put your head down and study. I mean like 9-6 everyday and improve your grades. You proved you are academically able - you don't just fluke a C in Maths.

If however, you think you want an apprenticeship, then now is the time to start looking. Get ahead of the game!

    Good luck!

Have a chat with your teachers. Have you underperformed relative to what they thought you'd get, and do they think you can pull your grades up?

I was predicted a A for business. I got a B in January exams. But some how ended up with a D.

Then I'd suggest staying on. People do do well following resits.

    I got ABCD at AS
Remarked and ended up with ABCC
Retook and ended up with AABC
Finished A2s and was told I had BBBbc
Remarked and finally finished with ABBbc.

I got into Manchester, Leeds, Loughborough, Leicester, Birmingham and Liverpool (the latter through Clearing).

The point is that this isn't the end of the world, and you can pull grades up and get offers from unis that wouldn't accept you without resits

Speak to your school advisors and they'll give you different options that you could pursue.
