    Hi all!

After receiving AAA for my A-levels, I was wondering if UCL and KCL are still out of my reach. I would also love to read at Durham or St Andrews. I understand with my grades, compared to those on the TSR forums who have constantly received far better grades, it may seem a bit too ambitious. I would love to hear what you all have to say.

    TIA

What would you like to study though?

It depends on the course. I take it you haven't yet applied?

    Congrats on the super results.

Hi! I am considering Politics and/or Economics.
I believe applying for the course of economics can be very stressing as it is quite oversubscribed, especially at such prestigious universities.

No I haven't yet. I am really hoping to go though.

Thank you! I'm sure you have also done well, if not better!

I have, yes. With my grades, I only meet the minimum entry requirements, which probably means I have very little chance of being admitted. :afraid::argh:

What will you be doing in your gap year - something great could be the winning element of your application

I am not sure yet. Do you have any suggestion on what I may be able to do which might be appealing to those universities? Would not doing anything valuable during my gap year be off-putting, and even lower my chance of getting in?:cry2:

I can only say - something related to the course

Yes, a wasted gap year would simply be a year away from study and could seriously impact on your chances

If you don't mind my asking, with your grades, where did you apply to? And where did you end up going to? :curious::eyeball:

Whilst I am sorry to hear you did not get offered a place at Cambridge or Durham, UCL sounds amazing!
How did you find it? Did you enjoy your time there?
Sorry for bombarding you with all my questions! Just really curious, and weighing my chance of getting an offer!
