I have a few questions about the travel grant.
It says on my letter that 'if you must contribute towards your student finance.... you may have to contribute more than £303 to your travel costs'. Is there any way of finding out how much I will need to pay towards travel costs before submitting my claim?
If I submit multiple claims throughout the year will £303 be deducted each time - so would I be better off submitting one massive claim at the end of the year?
The travel grant covers journeys between your home and your destination abroad. As I have family in the country I am travelling to it would be much easier for me to visit them at Christmas etc. Would my travel costs to visit them be covered?
Thanks in advance

In regards to the Travel Grant, the final amount you contribute after the initial £303 is based upon the household income provided in support of your application. The initial £303 is in regards to your reimbursement of flight costs as a whole, not each individual claim.
We would consider reimbursing travel to and from the institution you are studying at and where you are staying, we wouldn't fund any extra costs if you travel for any reason other than this.
You can claim the costs for up to 3 return journeys between your abroad destination and your home as stated.
