Do I still have a chance to study dentistry at university??? Watch

    • Thread Starter

I just got my as-levels results
    Biology A
    Chemistry B
    Maths B
    History D

I'm like 99.999% sure that i will get AAA predictions from my teachers because im dropping history and in maths i was only 3UMS off the A and for chemistry i was 8UMS off the a and i got A's in the exams just a c in the isa which dragged my grade down so im not really worried about the predictions but for the uni's im applying to they also want an A-B at as which i didnt get in history but i dont mind retaking the two exams for history to move it up to an A or B but will the unis look at the D in history and not consider me even though im going to be re-taking the exams in june which means if everything goes to plan i will still get the AAA/a-b in the two years time as i went to the open days and they all said that they they dont mind retakes as long as the grades are achieved within 2 years. So can i still apply for dentistry and retake the history units to get the a or b at as or will they not consider me???

There should be an article that the AS kids have to read, so we don't get hordes of these threads on every results day.

Yes, you certainly do still have a chance.
