I want to do medicine for 2014 entry but i dont know if i should with my results:

    Bio A
    Chem B
    Maths A
Geo no grade (i was ill so i missed an exam)

I dont know if I can do medicine until i get my predicted grades so i dont know what i should be doing now - should i ring up my school and ask them about my predicted grades? -Should i take my UKCAT and write my personal statement for medicine or look for other courses right now?

    Im really lost!!! :'(

you probably will get predicted an A for chemistry and if you dont and get a B then dont worry because you can always ask for it to get moved up to an A and explain that you want to medicine because at my school they said they dont mind moving up 1 grade as if you get a B in chemistry you still have a good chance of getting an A overall so dont worry you should still focus on your medical application and do the ukcat
    Good Luck

Well im quite sure they will as most unis dont get suspicious about predicted grades unless they are 2 or 3 grades higher than AS-results so you should be fine but if they do predict you a AAB then just make sure that your UKCAT is very good because that is another way for the universities to see if you are academically able so with a high UKCAT and a good personal statement you might be able to get an interview because obviously the uni will look at all aspects of your application, and if you dont get an interview just focus on getting AAA/A*AA for A2 and apply the following year dont give up on medicine because you got a B in chemistry AS

I was just talking to my friend and got told that coz im 16UMS off an A, I have little chance of getting predicted an A. I've done ok in class tests, getting High B's and average A's. Do I have a chance of getting predicted an A?

I wish to study medicine and have attained the following results for AS
    A Biology
    A Chemistry
    A Maths
    B Physics
I am dropping physics for A2, but retaking the AS,I have 11 GCSE A*.
I want to delay applying for University for one year, however my school have advised me that this is not a good idea.

They have suggested that I should not apply to any London University (which would be my first choice), but should look at Universities further afield, and should apply with predicted grades.

However I wish to retake the physics to obtain the A and hopfully obtain the As in the Biology,Maths and Chemistry.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.
