So i recieved my AS results today, to say the least I'm disappointed.
I got ABBB, yes not really bad, but considering i managed 7A*'s at GCSE I don't feel great about it.

I have my heart set on French and Italian at university, i've visited a few all being top ones. I know to rule out durham now but my question is can i even apply to other russell group universities and be accepted? even if i pull them up next year, those grades will not be on my application.

Definitely, ABBB is still a solid set of grades that can get you entry into the Russell Group. I'll find some for you.

(You could apply to Durham just in case you do really well next year?)

Of course you can Your gcses are amazing! And your AS Levels should be fine, my friend got into Durham this year with 8 a*s at gcse and ABBB at AS Level, whilst another friend got into Oxford with AABC, it's definitely worth applying

Get ABB and you should have no problem. Universities should be glad to get a language student as not many people do languages anymore (I think?).

Really not bad results and you can move them up to A grades without too many problems.

I'm sorry if I sound really rude but don't be so dramatic, ABBB is great at AS, those grades are fine and if you work hard next year are more than good enough to get into a Russell Group uni. You've got no reason to wave goodbye to Durham.

I didn't mean to be dramatic at all, i'm just pretty worried at the moment! But thank you for your comments.
