hi everyone, so just go my AS results, Stats(C), Bio(B) and Chem(d), should I retake year 12 or retake the modules, I need to retake all of chem and 1 module of stats.

Should i retake all of year 12 or just these modules, i dont want to suffer under the pressure but then i am willing to work really hard during a2. Will i be able to do this alongside a2.

And what are my chances of getting into chemical engineering?

    Any help is appreciated

Hi! I got my AS results today and got really bad and have decided the best course of action is to retake the year due to me getting an E in chem and needing it for the degree I wanna do.

Look at your modular results and how many exams you need to resit if you decide to go onto A2. Look at the work load and ask yourself if it's doable or not. If (like me) you think that getting good grades in A2 alongside your resits is going to be extremely difficult then I suggest you retake the year. I know it's frustrating and far from ideal- retaking a year but if this ensures that you work to your fullest and get better grades (albeit during a longer time period) than trying to resit everything next year and getting worse- I think retaking would be the wiser decision. Also what swayed me to retaking a year is the scrapping of January exams as the amount of exams that I would have to take in the summer period would be immense. Take that into consideration too. Good luck! I know our situation is not ideal at this given moment; hopefully we get better during our second try.

Retaking the year would probably be the last resort. You'll find the AS modules easier to resit when you do the harder A2 work anyway.

The workload won't be twice the amount of work, don't worry. You'll just have to revise the module again before the exam.

Retake year, med/dentistry? Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww wwwwwwwwww heyul no.

srs, not a med/dent applicant but retaking would damage your application by a good bit. I retook and ABB in maths/chem/further maths, looking forward to my A*s next year.
