Hey, how do you put your predicted A2 grades in the UCAS application?

Are the predicted grades same as your AS level grades or are they different?

If I do a subject on own (teaching myself) how do I predict it in the form? Do I predict them myself?

If your subject teacher predicts it how does UCAS know its honest and you have not just put it in the form?

OR do the unis just give out the offers based on your AS grades?

Thanks and sorry for so many queries.

You don't; your referee puts them down in your reference.

Depends entirely on your teacher and school policy. In most cases they're slightly better than your AS grades. Some schools have a policy of predicting AAA for students applying for Oxbridge (yes, it kinda defeats the purpose, but that's the inherent flaw within the system).

Hmm, interesting situation. I suppose you could mention your expected grade in your PS, or have your referee mention this together with your other predicted grades in your reference. Wait for a reply from someone who's been in a similar situation though.

UCAS doesn't care about your predicted grades - only the universities do. And if you apply through the school, your referee will have to add your reference himself before sending it off to UCAS. You won't have the opportunity to view/edit it. If you apply directly, you'll have to state valid contact details of your referee, whom universities will contact to verify your reference and predicted grades.

OR do the unis just give out the offers based on your AS grades?
Not solely. Predicted grades are very important.

You put it as "pending". Then the unis know you haven't taken it yet.
