For AS results. Big wake up call! Need help and advice Watch

    • Thread Starter

So today I got my results and received a B in history a B in English literature and a C in geography. I was absolutely gutted and was wondering if there are still any chances of me reaching As or A*s in A2? Also, I didn't understand the grade boundaries for the UMS scores and thought they were ridiculously high. For my geography I got a C and it was 65%, just kinda shocked that was a C. Oh and by the way my exam board for English and geography were AQA and history was edexcel. Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated!

I would say you could easily get an A or A* if you resit these modules or if you get high A's in the A2 units, I didn't get what I wanted in January after getting an E in biology for A2 I presumed It would drag my C grade for AS down but after a lot of hard work I found I had managed to somehow get a B in this resit and managed an A and C for the other units therefore getting a B as my final grade. Also yes the ums is very confusing and in general I think it's it goes up in 10's for 40% for E and 80% for an A, however that doesn't indicate how many actual marks you got it depends on how hard the paper is as its sorted out into a certain amount, hope this helps
