Hey, today I received my results. I got worse than what I was expecting, but nevertheless, it was alright.

I got A in Maths (8 UMS over A boundary)
I got B in Biology (8 UMS away from an A)
I got B in Psychology (8 UMS away from an A)
    I got C in Chemistry (just in a C)

I want to persue a career of Biology, however, I am clueless as to what subjects I should move into A2 with. I am thinking of continuing with Biology, Maths and Chemistry. Would this be the right path? Because I really dislike Psychology and want to do Biochemistry at university. Please advise me if there are other routes of Biology.

Biology chemistry and maths are what I took into A2, got three Bs after getting BBBC at AS (dropped economics). Going to do a zoology degree since it seems you're adept at maths id definitely carry that on. And biology and chemistry are most useful for biology degrees really.

Seems like you have it all planned out! And well done on those grades, I think they're awesome

Steady on with the bumping, 11PM on Sunday is quite a quiet time

What you've chosen - so bio, chem, maths - would be fine for biology at uni; the entry requirements seem to be anything from AAA to ABB or even BBB, but if you can get it up to 3A's or AAB for A2, you'd have plenty of options to choose from. I think you've kind of already decided to drop psychology judging by your comment

Hey sorry to twist this thread a little, but I also just received my AS results and am in need of some advice. I managed an A in biology (90%) an A in psychology (83%) a B in English lit (78%) and a C in chemistry (69% 1 ums off a B) I'm going to get chemistry remarked so hopefully I end up with AABB and will be dropping chemistry next hear as well as taking up the EPQ. Although I'm very pleased with my results, I had to do do 2 modular results in unit 1 biology and chemistry respectively in which I got a C and an E first time around. I'm not sure what my predictions will be next year but I'm just worried that I won't achieve them. Especially as there will no longer January exams.
I am currently looking at applying for psychology at Nottingham (AAB), Royal Holloway (AAA), Kent (AAB), Cardiff (AAB), Exeter (AAA) , and maybe Bangor (280-340 ums) as a safe option. I am also considering UCL (A*AA). Do you think it is possible for me to achieve these grades and get offers from the above universities or would applying there be unwise? Also, do you think Bangor will be too safe an option?
Thanks so much for any replies I really appreciate it
