I just got my AS results back, and while my target grades for my subjects (psychology, chemistry and biology) were ABB, I achieved only DDE! I really don't know what to do, I don't know where I went wrong as I revised to the best of my ability, and I'm absolutely heartbroken. :'( Should I drop a subject, take up another one and stay an extra year, or should I stick at what I'm doing? :'(

Similar to my position, but i achieved worse grade EEE to be exact.
Im being recommended to retake the whole AS year, but the thought of missing out a year while seeing everyone carry on sucks!
Plus it was really difficult telling my parents

My parents were very very supportive, because they know I literally cannot process stress, so it presents in a physical way, and I struggle with exams :/ I really don't want to have to resit the year :'/!

DDE is pretty terrible. If you want good grades e.g Aab aab, good uni you will find it hard to get DDE to that, so retake the year.

I understand DDE is 'pretty terrible'. Thank you for sugar-coating that. I am clever, hence why this is a blow. I'll probably retake the year, but I really, REALLY don't want to.

I retook the year and turned BBCC into AAAA by the end of my second AS year and came out today with a*a*B, 1mark of an A in that B. You can do it, it's not the end of the world and i wish you the best, just remember things happen for a reason. It's not bad at all.
