Yo I got a B in AS AQA chemistry:

    CHEM1: 87/100 UMS
    CHEM2: 102/140 UMS
    CHEM3T: 36/60 UMS

Now I want to work hard for an A, but would like to know is an A* in sight? I read this somewhere on TSR " 270/300 UMS at A2 and 480/600 UMS across the whole A-level; for AQA, at least."

Should I retake my CHEM2? Even if I don't would this be a genuine A* combination:

    CHEM1: 87/100
    CHEM2: 102/140
CHEM3T: 36/60 (will definitely push this bugger to 50+)

    CHEM4: 110/120
CHEM5: 115/120 (i just made these figures up, but are these VERY hard to get? I am working very hard to continue my AS work).
    CHEM6: 55/120

    Thanks!

That would get you an A*

I would say if you're aiming for an A*, there really is no point in retaking CHEM2 because the A* now depends on your A2 grade. Realistically, you only need 270/300 in your A2 modules to get an A* now
