    Hi,

    From my limited knowledge,

For GEP medicine (Graduate Entry Programme) most univeristies recommend a minimum of 2:1 in a "sciency" degree, eg biochem, biomedical science, chemistry, biotechnology etc.

Kings do a 3 year Biomedicine course which is suitable. Also, places like Bradford (clinical science, then possible transfer to leeds med school), UEA (foundation med programmes, and I also think they guarantee interviews to students wanting to do medicine who are enrolled in a life science/biomedical/pharmacy degrees at UEA) and Leicester (similar to UEA) are good alternatives. Also take advantage of the Access to Birmingham (A2B) and Access to Leeds initiatives if possible/if you qualify.

NB, people get in to GEP with variety of degrees, from music and psychology to sports science and nursing. Therefore I believe getting into medical school (standard or graduate entry) is as much down to an individuals determination (with evidence showing such determination of course) as well academia/the degree you obtained. A bit of luck helps too.

    Hope I helped.

    Regards.
