I received my (disappointing) results yesterday - BBC - after checking online to see that I had missed both my firm and insurance offers (Exeter and Nottingham, AAB ABB). Both Bs were in French and Geography and the C was in English Literature.
Clearing has been a nightmare, because no university that I would like to go to is willing to accept someone with BBC. I eventually got one offer from Leicester for BA Geography, which is what I wanted to do in the first place, and have to make a decision by 9am today whether to accept or reject the offer. At the moment York was saying that they would call me back yesterday evening or this morning as they may have some vacancies, but not to rely on them. None of these universities are really any of my first choices, more just to settle for what I've got.
My question is, is Geography at Leicester a good choice? Is it a good university? Or should I leave the offer and wait a bit more? One person I talked to at Leeds told me that I could possibly wait a bit longer for the grades to go down a bit and see if they would take me onto the course but that's such a huge risk.

Leicester University is a good university it has such a friendly feel and has really good facilities. There is excellent sports facilities as well as really good societies, the O2 academy is also a good place to attract bigger acts and has good student nights.
With regards to geography I have really enjoyed studying it here, you study loads of different topics which make you so well rounded and aware of the world It also has good field trips

Leicester is a great University!! Great mix of city life and countryside and it has a great reputation at a reserach and teaching institute
The risk of not accepting is not having a place at all, as all Universities grade requirements will slowly go up throughout clearing.
