    Hello guys.

    I have got result yesterday and it was A*AAB,,, A*:Math, A:Biology, and physics B:chemistry((

    I got verbal offer from Biovet but I actually dont really wanna go to that uni... Does anyone think it is good idea to reapply/retake with this result??

    Well done for all your grades, but sorry you missed your offer due to Chemistry.

    From the looks of it you would only need to retake Chemistry to bump that grade up, so if vet med is your dream I would look into this.

    If you have only one subject to concentrate on, this will ease the pressure and may let you get a higher grade, as well as enabling you to do a bit more work experience to boost your application further. I wasn't quite in the same boat, but I ended up staying in sixth form a year longer as I was ill during sixth form; it worked out that in my 3rd year of sixth form I was doing Chem A2 plus another AS (had to be in school for 15 hours for the council to fund my place) and I don't regret going to uni a year later than my peers at all.

    However, do look into which unis will take on retake students as this will vary between unis.

    At Liverpool I'd say around 25% or more students are 2nd or 3rd time applicants!
