    Hello there,

I got my results for my Edexcel AS exams and to be honest i am not happy with them esp phy.

I got ABB.To be honest i expected all As to AAB.

    Chem-89,79,50 in U1,2 and 3 respectively thus 218UMS=B
    Phy -94,84,48, U1,2 and 3 respectively thus 226UMS=B
    Math- C1-100,C2-93,M1-80 thus 273UMS=A

I am disappointed with my physics result....i expected phyu2 to be the best among them...i lost about 3(maybe 4) marks in MCQ,the broad Qs went pretty well except for the last Q.I gave a wrong definition of photon so lost 2 marks there(mass less particle emitted by an excited atom, still can't believe :P )

    I expected 100+ UMS.I got 43/80 in phy u2

Is it just me or the edexcel marking really was ruthless? o.O

I got 51 in my u1 last jan which was so much tougher than this paper and i performed somewhat better there.

I was always pretty weak in chem though my O levels are as follows:
    English as 2nd lang-A(only 1 mark shy of A*)
    Bengali-B(1 mark shy of A )
    MathsB-A*
    Chem-A*
    Phy-A*
    Pure maths-A

But what i got in chem U2 is SHOCKING...i need to get 262 in A2 to somehow secure an A in chem which seems like a dream too far....can i get into any uni in USA without SAT II but A levels and SAT?

    Hope you guys did well

Why don't you request for a photocopy of your exam paper so you know where you went wrong? It'll fix up your confusion and hone your exam techniques. Good luck.

Your exams officer has to request it from Edexcel, there is a small fee that you will have to pay unless your school has a budget for it.

You can ask your teacher for a results plus analysis of your papers, it does not show you your answers but does show exactly which marks were awarded and which were not. It doesn't cost anything except their time and is done instantly online.
