    Hi everyone,

In Human Biology I was 1 mark off an A*, my Dad wants me to get one of the papers remarked to see if I can get the extra mark somewhere to push it up to an A*. However, I got the grades I needed for my firm so it won't make any difference university wise. I know it can go up, down or stay the same, but realistically I don't think it could jump down an entire grade. Would I need to tell my university that I'm getting it remarked?

My 2 papers were Unit 5 106/120 and Unit 6X 48/60 (I took unit 4 in January and got 115/120)

Would you say it was worth it? My Dad said he'll pay so money isn't part of the question here.

    Thanks!

EDIT: Just worked out I have 518/600 on the whole A level so I would only go down a grade to a B if I lost 38 marks. So I think it would work if I remarked the Unit 6X paper maybe?

I actually had this exact situation when I did my A2s.

I did Philosophy and it was 2 marks from an A* but I had already made my firm. In the end, I went for it and the mark went up and so I got an A* and didn't have to pay Woop Woop

If you are 100% confident that your grade will not fall/you will not fail to meet your required firm grade then why not?

I am just worried somehow I will lose looooads of marks and go down to a B... not entirely sure how that would happen but hey. Don't want to risk losing out on my firm. Although if I'm that close to an A* I don't really see how I could drop that many marks..
Thanks for your reply and that's awesome you got an A*
