Hi just wondering how long priority remarks take? As my place is being held at my firm choice.
    Thanks

What they say is within 18 days, which is after the 31st August deadline, but my experience has been that they do make it back in time.

It took one day for me - applied for a priority re-mark yesterday and got it back today. I was told it should take no more than 5 days.

That's very impressive, and a big improvement on their usual performance. I'm very glad to hear it. Did it change?

Wow. Which board was it and subject? Is your school or college open today to inform you?

Nope, my grade didn't change. It was two papers of Edexcel Economics. Applied for the re-mark on Wednesday (Results Day) and got it back on Thursday morning, my school was open during the week of results day so they informed me.

Did that affect your uni place? I know so many people who are unhappy with the edexcel economics unit 4. The marking on that has been done strangely. Students that have got As and A* in previous units have got c and below in this unit. This has pushed down their overall mark and so affecting their uni place. I have heard that they had problems getting economics examiners and I wonder if that had something to do with the bizzare marks some student are getting. What are you going to do?

My exam officer told me that it varied depending on the subject - popular subjects such as English/maths can take around 2-3 weeks, but subjects like psychology/economics might be back within a few days.

Well i missed out on my firm and insurance, got a confirmed place through clearing before my re-mark came back though, so it didn't affect my uni place in that sense. Tbh the questions on unit 4 didn't seem too bad for me - although i have heard that they were toughening up the mark scheme and trying to hand out less top marks, it was just unlucky that i also did Edexcel C3 maths...but oh well, im still going to a decent uni at least
