    Hello everyone,

I got my results yesterday (like everyone else) and got my firm choice. So you might be thinking, 'Why on Earth is this guy asking for remark advice?' The reason I am asking is because I was 3 UMS away from an A* in Further Mathematics, and obviously it would be quite nice to have it for my own personal satisfaction.

I am doing MEI FM, and the modules in my A2 FM are FP2, M2, D2. FP2 is at 90 UMS, D2 at 80 and M2 at 97. FP2 was done in January, so cannot be remarked, so should I get M2 or D2 remarked, or do something else. I would just like some advice. By the way, the A in FM overall is secure, so I have nothing to lose except 42 pounds.

    Thanks.

I got 100% in as edexcel unit 1 geography but yesterday when I opened my results I only got a b overall in as and a u grade in the unit 2 exam. I have no idea how this nappened as the exam was really easy and three of the six wuestions were ones we did in class. How much is it possible to go up by with a remark?

In theory you can go up by as many grades as necessary. Though, its unprobable that they've done a mistake of more than 1 grade difference. But, there have been cases in which a student went from a C to a high A (I suppose it must have been due to a problem with the addittion of the marks).

Whether you want to do a remark depends on how you felt the exam went, what grade you need, your predicted grade, etc... speak to your teacher and your exam officer to get 2 experienced opinions.
