    Hi everybody,

My question is probably a little bit stupid, but how do football teams work in universities? Does every university have a football team in which you have to try out or just a few universities have teams??

Yes they normally hold trials during Freshers week and have multiple teams, Leeds Met has about 6 but most have 3.

Nearly all universities will have teams. As said above, unis will have multiple teams with the best players getting into the A team, etc. It varies how many teams a uni will have. Each team will also likely be entered into a league system known as BUCS, where you will compete with other university teams. Naturally, you'll need to try out and you can probably sign up for all that sort of thing in Fresher's Week.
