    Hi Alex_7
Where are you living if you can't move in until 14th? Our Welcome programme kicks off on Monday 9th September - it's a two week period packed with activities but the first week is optional. You need to be here for Monday 16th September, because, as well as the continuing Welcome programme, you'll also have induction sessions with your School and course and it's important to attend these. You'll also check-in during the second week of Welcome, get your ID card and so on.
    Lessons start w/c 23rd September.

I spoke to Cheryl this morning at IQ and she said that they normally always move students in the second week in September and seems to think that the Welcome programme is starting a week early this year. You can opt to move in the weekend before but it will cost an extra weeks rent and you need to do it online. You need to do online because they need to ensure that all the furniture is moved in prior to your arrival. Apparently they run a report every day and this enables them to prioritise the moving in of the new furniture for the common areas. Everything has been refurbished with the exception of the carpets in the actual rooms and they are apparently being done next year. It may be worth a call though because there are two buildings that are in the process of being finished so moving in to them early may not be available.

My son is going to move in early because it seems a shame to miss the first week, although Cheryl did wonder whether the first week of freshers was more for International students, can anyone shed any light on that?
