I wanted to apply for extended degree of science at hertfordshire uni. ive been calling their clearing line since yesterday 9am and all I would get was "the lines are busy let us take down your details and you will definitely received a call today" so I waited and called up every hour to see if the lines are cleared they were still busy. then I called about 7:30pm they were still busy so the clearing team said call tomorrow. first thing in the morning at 8am I called and they were still busy. so I called up again after hour still busy, till about 10.30ish and now the course is closed wtf!!!!! that's ruined my plans into getting uni this year.

Hello there, I'm very sorry to hear this but it's first come first serve tbh. I will be doing this course (I had unconditional so I wasn't affected by clearing) and was told by the teachers that there wasn't any space left on the course anyways. ( this was about 3 months ago) The best thing to do is to check other foundation years. Good luck!

I'm surprised that it was in clearing... Maybe circumstances have changed I don't know what else to suggest but I wish you all the best

Take a look at the University of Westminster - they do have some foundations years - other do too so it's worth looking around.

Consider your options and you do not need to rush into a decision!

    Best of luck.

I would genuinely just phone their switchboard/something that isn't the clearing hotline and then talk to them about it there. If they try and direct you to the clearing number, talk to them about how they're all jammed. Good luck!

Hertfordshire's call centre thing is useless, and excessively busy as well as incompetent at this time of year.

Last year, when I had met my offer but they still hadn't accepted I was calling multiple times a day and for almost 2 weeks the only answer I got was keep waiting. When I actually got through to someone who knew what they were talking about I was accepted within half an hour.

Just keep calling, eventually you will get through. Good luck
