My Current AS Grade for psychology is 153UMS (Grade B). In the PSYA2 exam I got 75UMS (again, a B). My PSYA1 was 78 (Grade B, 1 raw mark off an A). Would you recommend retaking PSYA2 or would it be more suitable to try an get higher grades in A2 to try and bring it upto an A? Especially since there are no longer January retakes

Any help or opinions would be appreciated - I am terrible at making these kind of decisions!

Edit: 320UMS is needed to get am A at A2

I would retake, personally. I was in a very similar situation last year, where I got 73 UMS in PSYA1 and 78 UMS in PSYA2. I resat PSYA1 (after getting 80 in PSYA3 in January and realising that I'd need 89 in PSYA4 to get an A overall. It was definitely worth it, as I was able to get PSYA1 up to 90 and get a good A overall. It took very little revision (apart from relearning studies), as I was much better at psychology by then, and in A2 you do much more complex evaluation which makes the AS A02 seem really easy.
I would look at the number of exams you'll have next year, though. Are you continuing four? If you are, you should think about whether an extra exam will make you do worse in the others, especially as PSYA3 and PSYA4 are much harder, I found.

I am only doing two exam based subjects so should have 4 exams in June, 5 if I retake. I think I will retake, based on your advice and I did find PSYA2 quite enjoyable I'll discuss it with my teacher when I go back to sixth form also. Thanks a lot!
