I am curious in buying his films and saw the boxset.

Are his films great or just really weird? I am not hugely interested in hugely weird. If they're like Requiem for a dream I will be interested.

wild at heart, blue velvet and lost highway are all good, watchable movies imo.

Eraserhead is imo just weird for weirdness sake and dune is a bit of a failure.
You might as well wait for them to come on film4 tho.

It was Eraserhead that put me off buying it in the first place, it looks weird.

Will read into the others more. Thanks for your opinion. I will probably check out Dune also because I am pretty sure we had it on video tape when I was younger and I would always see it in the cabinet and curiosity has got the best of me now.

I've seen two and a half of his. Mulholland Dr. is easily one of the best movies I've ever seen. Blue Velvet was a bit of a let down. If you don't like weird then skip him, but if you fancy something that will make you think then he is a must.

Blue Velvet and The Elephant Man are probably my favourite Lynch films.
However, the first season of Twin Peaks is amazing!

Mulholland Drive is very good-one of those films that stays in your mind after you watch it even though you can't quite work out why. I would also recommend Blue Velvet and the Elephant Man.
Twin Peaks is also good, although the less said about the episodes after the killer is revealed the better...
