Where I work is understaffed anyway, but I constantly find myself covering for people who don't seem to want to do anything. I work in care, so it's really important everyone stays dry, is comfortable etc but sometimes it seems like I'm the only one who cares. I get migraines, backache and stomach pains from overexerting. To make it worse I'm quite new so I get all the blame and criticism for things that everyone should be responsible for. The manager has been told multiple times and she's done nothing, she doesn't care. Bearing in mind that if I don't do things they don't get done, any ideas on what I should do while I try and find a new job?

If you can, talk to your colleagues about it.
Otherwise, talk to your manager again. Failing that- is there a higher manager you can talk to about it?

I will try again just don't see how our manager can tolerate certain members of staff going out for endless cigarette breaks and nearly in the same breath criticise me for not picking up their workload well enough
