Does anyone know if how much the costs are for joining a club or society at Strathclyde Uni? I was thinking of maybe doing something like an acting or debate club and maybe a boxing club as well. Any current/former students think its worth it? What clubs would you recommend?

Joining clubs and societies is not generally expensive. The societies are run under the umbrella of the students association.

Clubs set their own membership fees, subject to a minimum of £1 per year. Obviously some clubs would charge a bit more, it just depends on what the money is needed for.

Generally most "interest based" clubs and societies will be under £5 per year. If you're interested in clubs and societies, you can pop up to level 7 of the students association and talk to someone in the clubs and societies hub.

Sports clubs are generally a few pounds per week as they have more equipment and space needs. It's definitely worth getting involved in any clubs you're interested in - just turn up and see if you like it. There's plenty more information about the available clubs in the freshers fair, and the information you should have received yesterday from the students association
