Hi, I'm just posting this to hopefully gain some advice on what I should do with myself at the moment. I recieved my A level results yesterday in which I got an A in history, B in english literature and a B in english language. While these allow me to go to a half decent uni, this isn't something I'm that inclined to do as my real passion is the army. So I now have a couple of options which I'll list below:

Push my grades (hopefully) up to AAB, do law at uni and then apply to officer class in the army

Apply for soldier level, serve for 5 years or stay and attempt to commission as an officer

I'm more inclined to the second option though what are your views on my situation? Do you think I should get a degree now or wait and possibly get one later on after the army?

    Cheers

Many congratulations on the grades! At the end of the day the choice is yours. If you are genuinely stuck between the two, why not defer entry to university for one year, join the army and see if it takes your fancy. You're always allowed to resign if you want to, in any job, but do please read your contract of employment in case you ahve pay back costs to the Army if you leave before your 5 years are up.

Have a chat with others who've taken similar routes and see what they say.
