Hi, I want to do biomed at uni and I recently got AS grades of BBCD (UMS wise very close to ABBD) and I've done work experience at a pathology lab (a day), a pharmacy (six months), a gp's practice and a hospital in India (2 weeks) --- will any more work experience be necessary?

    Thanks in advance!

That's plenty of work experience to write a really strong personal statement. You should also try and do some reading around the subject, if you haven't already.

The weaker point on your application is your grades. If you want to apply to ABB universities, you will need to improve these. Are you retaking any modules or getting any of them remarked? Are you planning on dropping the D grade? It would probably be better to spend the next year focusing on getting the grades you want.

I am planning on retaking several AS modules and I will drop the D subject for A2 but I will retake it to get a better AS grade. So I do have a chance of getting into an ABB uni? My teachers will predict me AAB-ABB I think
