    there was no way? :confused:

    ok, so you open the betting for a considerable amount in early position and you have the big blind go all in, despite knowing your strong...

    realistically your against;

    AK - coin toss
    AQ - you have beat
    AJ - unlikely - i would never go all in with this...
    AA - your screwed
    KK - your screwed
    QQ - split pot
    lower pocket - i would never do that, that would be a coin toss situation against AK etc and i dont gamble

    You forgot one possibility you could have been stealing the pot. Then you have to take context into account. I had enough chips from my other hands to call your all in and not be out of the game if I lost. There are situations where I wouldn't have called. Remember If I'd have lost I'd have had 6 or 7 hundred left compared to most people who were on only twice that early on in the game. Add to that the fact that your position at the top of you won would hardly be unassailable and it looks a more realistic proposition.

    :rofl: stealing the pot :rofl: The pot was worth 70+70+20+10 = 170 chips, and i would never risk my entire stack on a steal :rofl:. I only went all in because i knew you had a slightly weak hand, and wanted you to commit pre-flop, instead of giving you chance to back out... It works 80% of the time Just an unlucky night

    :rofl: stealing the pot :rofl:

    Don't laugh I would say 60% -70% of the people I've played against would be prepared to do that and I'd never played with you before. That kind of amount is a particularly good one if you are going to do that kind of thing because of the relatively small gain compared keeping your stack (others are unlikely to call your steal.)
