I got my a level result yesterday and I got 5A*. It exceeds the Bristol offer for economics which is A*A. I don't know whether to take a gap year, reapply to Cambridge/LSE/Warwick again (I got rejected from them in March), or just take the Bristol offer. Anyone got any advice?

Congratulations on your results - that's great. It's entirely up to you. You have to be prepared for the fact that you may be rejected again. Moreover, Bristol is by no means a second-rate university, and its department in Economics is fantastic, so it's good that you got an offer there. The competition is likely to be just as fierce next year - you may well have an advantage already having the grades in hand, but it's not a decision to be taken lightly. If you really liked Bristol, visited on an open day and think you'll enjoy the range of modules on offer, I'd go there personally.
