Most people plan on taking gap years when other people apply to uni.
I know many people go for the likes of the KPMG gap year programme....is there any programme that I can still apply for? Do any of these pay you a salary? I am planning on retaking a couple of modules, but I dont need to go into school for that

    help??
i decided to take a gap year when i ended up in clearing on results day. its likely that the gap year schemes will have closed now but theres nothing stopping you looking for unofficial work experience or a job instead.

Don't waste your time with a Gap Year unless your getting some form of work experience for your career or a job to fund your studies

i cant be 100% but its just normally these things open early and close early but its worth having a look. i know you need to do something productive so i was suggesting alternatives if the schemes are closed

I'd say look for a full time job if you can, entry level work, and save up for say a big trip.. go travelling in your summer so you feel you've been productive as well as sorting yourself out for university. The travel and work experience will go in your favour in the long run too. Could you take the resits in January instead of June? That way you could end up with conditional offers and know where you're going well in advance too. Loads of people do gap years without special programmes to help, its life experience and you can save up and do something great in your time too.
