C4 vectors Watch

1. Hi,

I thought the attached vector question was fairly easy but I get a different answer to the back of the book. I'm nearly there, but my z coordinate is wrong. It would be right if I got '-1+4mu' but I keep getting '-1-4mu' for the z coordinate.

Thanks,

Carl

From a brief glance, I can't see anything wrong with your working. Maybe the book is wrong. It happens often enough.

Your working is perfectly correct, The book answer is wrong or there is a misprint in the question
4. Thanks both for your help. I thought that a wrong answer was a possibility, but you can never tell. Irritating when you spend a couple of hours thinking you've done something wrong.

They have used +4k in the last part of the second line

Either you mis-read or they did

It should be +4k in l2.
a should be 3.
7. Thanks both for your help.

Yes, I agree it must be +4k and not -4k. It must just be a typo in the C4 edexcel revision book.
